Envisioned by interdisciplinary designer Ardavan Mirhosseini, EcoCharge is a concept design which would allow its users to generate electricity from hot surfaces. EcoCharge has thermoelectric modules and magnetic rows embedded beneath a flexible silicone plate which connects with the heat source to extract energy. The silicone plate’s flexibility enables it to bend and conform to round objects such as pots or pipes helping it conduct energy with maximum efficiency. EcoCharge is equipped with an OLED display which shows the voltage being produced, devices are charged by way of USB cable.
