Most of the time when you think “electric vehicle” you think ooooe so cheap to operate or how far can it go on a single charge? Man forget about all that boring stuff, clearly all that really matters is how much gut wrenching power it has and how likely are you to smoke that guy sitting next to you at the lights.

Automobile magazine put up a Tesla Model S next to a BMW M5 in a head to head 0-to-100-mph drag race to see just how well Tesla’s electric luxury car compares to the iconic BMW M5. A quick breakdown of the power and weight of each vehicle reveals that the Bimmer has 560 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque and weighs 4387 lbs and the Tesla has 416 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque and comes in at 4640 lbs. They are also both similarly priced at the low $100k mark. Check out the video below to see which car comes out on top.
