Tesla Motors treat their customers right, they’ve installed six solar-powered “Supercharger” recharging stations across California enabling Model S owners to recharge their vehicles free of charge. Thats right, for FREE. These Supercharger stations can recharge the Model S’ batteries within half an hour which enables three hours of driving time at 60 mph.
What makes this all even cooler is the fact that these Supercharger stations actually generate more electricity from the sun than what is required to recharge the cars, so they’ll be supplying the additional energy back to the grid. The European and Asian Markets are expected to get their initial Supercharging stations installed in the second half of 2013 and by 2015 Tesla plans to have 100 stations active across the United States.
