The World’s Cheapest E-Reader Costs Only $13, It Looks Awesome Too!

There are plenty of e-readers on the market these days but none of them are quite like this. The Txtr Beagle is not only the world’s most affordable e-reader its also the smallest (if you don’t count smartphones).

The Beagle fits easily into your pocket or handbag thanks to its minimal casing and 5″ display and unlike most e-readers, it’s actually battery operated. Txtr suggests that two AAA batteries should be adequate enough to read 12-15 books per year, yup that’s some sweet battery life right there.

As far as loading your ebooks is concerned, Beagle has built-in bluetooth and when paired with your smartphone you can easily transfer your reading material to the 4GB storage drive via the free Txtr App (currently available for Android, an iOS version is coming). These badboys should be available for purchase sometime before Christmas, so stay tuned.
